Enjoy a day at Stone Mountain Park — taking in the family attractions and live entertainment, before experiencing the Lasershow Spectacular, and a patriotic fireworks finale to finish the night. Reservations for the Lasershow Spectacular are required.
Head to Callaway Resort & Gardens for the 4th of July weekend and enjoy outdoor adventures, the beach, food and drink specials, and fireworks displays all weekend.

Watch the night sky light up as Jekyll Island celebrates Independence Day with a fireworks display on the beach! Fireworks will begin around 9:15 p.m., depending on lighting and weather conditions, when the sky offers the best background for this incredible pyrotechnic display.
Ideal viewing locations include Great Dunes Beach Park and Oceanview Beach Park.
Celebrate the 4th of July with a visit to the St. Simons Sunshine Festival! This festival has been an annual event here for 60 years, and is full of fun events.
With St. Simons Island fireworks, a 5K and 1-mile fun run, and more, this is the perfect family-friendly event this season. Festival Hours: 10:00am – 5:00pm, July 2-4.
Join the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway in celebrating America with a 4-hour round-trip ride that takes you to the sister towns of McCaysville, GA and Copperhill, TN!
Grab a lawn chair or blanket and settle in outside the train for the exhilarating Copper Basin Firework display. After the show, enjoy the ride back to Blue Ridge under the stars.
The train will depart Blue Ridge at 7 p.m. and then will return to Blue Ridge after the fireworks display by 11 p.m.
Before we get to the fireworks, let’s talk about Lake Chatuge‘s annual boat parade on July 3rd!
On Saturday, July 3, the lake will be dotted with beautiful shades of red, white and blue as residents and visitors alike cross the waters for the annual Boat Parade! Starting at 10:15 a.m., parade participants will line up in Sunset Bay behind the Captain’s boat and proceed to the shores of the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds to show off their creatively decorated and patriotic watercraft.
The next day, a fireworks show will be held at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds on July 4th.
Celebrate the 4th of July by taking in America’s favorite pastime — an Atlanta Braves baseball game at Truist Park.
The Braves are playing the Marlins on July 2, 3, and 4th, and they’re hosting fun events each night. On Friday, July 2nd enjoy fireworks after the game, as Truist Park lights up with the #1 rated fireworks show in the southeast.
On Saturday, July 3rd, visit The Battery Atlanta Plaza for a free pregame show! America’s Got Talent Season 10 semifinalists Summer & Bray will perform two shows before the game. Find a spot on the Plaza Green and enjoy your holiday weekend with an afternoon of great music. Showtimes: 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. on the Georgia Power Pavilion Stage. Also, the first 40,000 people through the gates will receive a Braves tote bag.
And on Sunday, July 4th, the first 3,000 kids, 14 & under, through the gates will receive a mini Ronald Acuna Jr. bobblehead, and kids (again, 14 and under) will be invited to run the bases after the game.
Boat parades, live music, fireworks and more make Savannah a great place to celebrate the 4th of July!
First, Plant Riverside District will host Savannah Stars & Stripes – a free family-friendly celebration featuring live music, cirque performances, mini golf and more from Friday, July 2 through Monday, July 5.
New to Independence Day this year is the Freedom Floats Boat Parade. On July 4th, freedom-loving boaters will celebrate life, liberty & the pursuit of happiness with an All-American Boat Parade presented by Freedom Boat Club, passing the official judging at Plant Riverside District between 3:30 and 5pm.
And finally, Savannah’s Waterfront will host the annual Independence Day Fireworks Show on Sunday, July 4th at 9:15pm. Spectators are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets.
