Riding Bikes At Beautiful Arabia Mountain

Did you know that there are over 20 miles of paved trails around Arabia Mountain and Panola Mountain State Park? These are perfect for riding bikes with the family, as we discovered last weekend.

This map is great for finding a (free) parking place. We landed at AWARE and rode the bikes toward the Horace King Memorial Bridge. That’s not it in the photo, but it is an example of the types of precious scenery we passed.

The trail is mostly flat, but there are some steep hills that required us to walk the bikes a little…but then we were off again.

Don’t forget to pack plenty of water, and helmets for the kiddos. You’ll bike in and out of the shade, with wildlife spotting stops and even this fun waterfall.

Since I just got a new bike rack on my truck, we’ve really been able to explore the paved paths in the area. Where is your favorite place to bring the bike?

365 Dailys are short and sweet posts designed to highlight the discoveries we unearth on a daily basis as we explore Atlanta, the South, and the world!
