This week many Atlanta families are only thinking about one thing: The first day of school. But around the country, a GREAT number of people are thinking about something else altogether…their ski and snowboard vacation!
August is the month that MOST ski and snowboard vacations are planned….so if you want the best deals, the best selections, and the best opportunities…you need to book this month!
Let’s talk about where to book your vacation.
Last year we visited Park City and Solitude, both in Utah. Ah – mazing! They were very different from each other though…I’ll have a post next week all about Solitude and why a smaller resort might be a better fit for your family.
Another personal favorite is Tahoe and Mammoth.

If you can’t fork over the money or time to head west, then consider skiing in North Carolina.
Regardless of where you go, this is primarily a friendly service reminder to BOOK NOW.
Per Travel + Leisure Magazine:
“According to mountain vacation package site Ski.com, booking a ski trip by the end of the month ensures that you’ll be able to get the best deals on accommodations, flights, and lift tickets. The site reported it is currently seeing savings of up to 40 percent for lodging options at popular destinations….when booked by August 31.
This time frame also ensures ski enthusiasts are able to secure ski-in, ski-out accommodations, which the company said can be some of the first to get sold out.”
