8 Holiday Pop Ups To Imbibe Your Holiday ‘Spirit’ in 2020

Tis the season for a bevy of Christmas-inspired cocktails and tons of decorations…along with some social distancing measures and mask requirements

Expect over-the-top decorations, seasonal cocktails, festive food specials, and plenty of photo opportunities at holiday-themed bars all around the city. And don’t dawdle — most of the pageantry disappear after the new year.

Miracle Bar

Opening Fri Nov 20 Miracle Bar is returning for 2020. What is it? Imagine a Christmas-themed pop-up cocktail bar that serves holiday cocktails in a festive setting. With kitschy holiday décor, professionally-developed cocktails and the nostalgic energy of the best office party you’ve ever been to, Miracle is sure to get even the grouchiest grinch in the holiday spirit.

Find Miracle @ Wonderkid at Atlanta Dairies and Miracle @ Parish 7 days a week. Miracle @The Fox Theatre’s Marquee Club is by reservation only.

Sippin’ Santa

Opening Fri Nov 20 – Sippin’ Santa was born as the companion pop-up to Miracle that focuses on the themes of tiki and Christmas. Imagine Santa on a surfboard instead of a sleigh and palm trees instead of pine.

Find Sippin’ Santa @ Bon Ton 7 days a week. Sippin’ Santa @ Golden Eagle runs Wed – Sat only, and begins Nov 27th.

The Blitzen Room at Biltong Bar

Opening Tues Nov. 24 thru early 2021 – Biltong Bar is “Up to Snow Good” as they transform their spaces into their second annual holiday pop-up: The Blitzen Room. Find them at the Ponce City Market and Buckhead Village locations, and at Avalon’s Holiday Market. The restaurants will feature swanky, vintage Christmas decor and seasonally themed cocktails. Bourbon fan? Head to Avalon where the drinks reflect their partnership with Maker’s Mark.

Holiday Social Bar on The Roof

Opening Fri Nov. 27 – Just inside the tower lobby at PMC, the Holiday Social Bar will welcome Roof-goers with an over-the-top experience bursting with whimsical decor and holiday-inspired drinks.

Jingle Bar at {three} sheets!

Nov. 27 through Dec. 31 – For the first time in the lounge and bar’s history, {three} sheets is transforming into a winter wonderland this holiday season. The Sandy Springs lounge will be decked out in Christmas décor, playing all the holiday hits on repeat, and mixing up delicious, themed cocktails in specialty glassware, as well as serving deliciously festive small plates.

MixMas at 12 Cocktail Bar

Opening Fri Nov. 27 – 12 Cocktail Bar is celebrating the season with a Mixmas cocktail menu, including drinks like “Sleigh Fuel” with bourbon, cinnamon, eggnog and coffee, and the “This Christmas I Gave You a Daiquiri,” made with dark rum, lime, pineapple, allspice and cherry. Reservations here are highly recommended.

The Blind Elf 

Opening Fri Nov. 20 – The Blind Pig Parlour Bar will reopen as The Blind Elf to spread cheer throughout the holiday season! Guests can expect a festive, holiday-themed bar adorned with twinkling lights and holiday decor. Special themed drinks, both warm and chilly, will be crafted to keep guests in a spirited mood. Light bites will be served alongside the Insta-worthy menu of libations. Open Wednesday-Sunday from 5pm till late. Reservations recommended.

Getaway in a Glass

Open Now – While not exactly a pop up, it’s still worth sharing the Loews Atlanta Getaway in a Glass flavors for those who prefer to sip under the colorful lights of their own tree. Here’s your make-at-home Midtown Gin + Tonic recipe so you can create their iconic drink for your family.

1.5oz Hendrick’s Gin

Top with Q Bottled Tonic

Serve in snifter over crushed ice

Garnish – Rose petals, juniper berries, cucumber ribbons (or thin slices). Fill a snifter with crushed ice. Pour gin into glass. Top with tonic. Place garnish inside and on top of the cocktail to your liking using cocktail tweezers.
