Fall In Love With Manhattan’s Langham NYC

Trying to find a hotel in NYC can be daunting. We wanted the right location, and something intimate- not too big. That’s why we were so excited to get a room at Langham, New York.

Here are 4 reasons we think you should make the Langham your next hotel destination.

Amazing customer service. You’d swear you were back in the South with genuine Southern hospitality, except for the missing “y’all” and “yes ma’am.” Dan and I took in a show one evening with the help of Derek, the concierge. He managed every step of the sitter-hire process.

From the front desk to the house-keeping staff, everyone was charming. I hate to compare one hotel to another, but if it helps me elaborate…I would say their friendliness and helpfulness was akin to any Ritz property I’ve ever visited.

What else? Complimentary water and cookies during the nightly turn down service, and your pets are welcome, too.

Award-winning dining options. After the show, Dan and I stepped into Bar Fiori for a drink and a bite. I have no words…the Tartare di Carne was unmatched. Dry agreed beef tartare lightly covered in salmoriglio and formage blanc, with a side of frisee.

I wish we had had time to eat at the restaurant, Ai Fiori. It’s a Michelin Guide restaurant and a winner of the Grand Award from Wine Spectator, with over 1,000 vino selections. Leave the kids at home, this is a place for romance and elegance.

We also sampled the 24-hour room service options (Always be thankful for 24-hours when you are traveling with crazy kids!) Chicken nuggets and amazing pizza pie were on the kids menu, and they devoured them! I also ordered the spaghetti bolognese which was pure heaven.

Spacious rooms. We were in a Deluxe room, which was gorgeous and super spacious. I loved the walnut furnishings and walls, with modern, clean lines. The bathroom was dreamy, with double vanities, and in-mirror TV, a gigantic “rain water” shower and an enormous tub. I also loved the light!

The boys loved their robes and matching slippers. There were comfy robes for mom and dad, too…a mini fridge and plentiful coffee station/snack area.

I’m not even done! The walnut closet area with drawer space, etc made the room feel just like home! We needed extra bed space, also, so they brought in a roll-away bed for us…not your ordinary roll-away, but a comfy cozy option with premium bedding to match the main bed. And even still…tons and tons of room!

Location, location, location. The hotel is on 5th Ave between 35th and 36th street. It’s easily within walking distance to the Empire State Building, the wonderful exhibits at the New York Library and Bryant Park. Times Square, Broadway and Avenue of the Americas are also close by. Care to walk a few more blocks? You’ll easily get to Central Park!

Next time your holiday brings you to New York City, I highly recommend a stay at Langham.
