The Final Countdown to School of Rock at the Fox Theatre

Who hasn’t fantasized at one time or another about being in a rock band? I mean, we were all stars playing the video game right?

Relive that dream at the Fox Theatre Oct. 16 – 21 when the Broadway show School of Rock comes to Atlanta. My teen and I are planning to go for media night on Oct. 16 and can let you know what we think, but don’t wait that long to get your tickets if you want good seats.

School of Rock

School of Rock is based on the iconic, hit movie, this irresistible new musical follows Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star who decides to earn an extra bit of cash by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. There he turns a class of straight –A pupils into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping mind-blowing rock band. But can he get them to the Battle of the Bands without their parents and the school’s headmistress finding out?

This high-octane smash features 14 new songs from Andrew Lloyd Webber, all the original songs from the movie and musical theater’s first-ever kids rock band playing their instruments live on stage.

365 Dailies are short and sweet posts designed to highlight the discoveries we unearth on a daily basis as we explore Atlanta, the South, and the world!
