Each time we go to Beech Mountain, NC, we stay somewhere new. During the winter months if there is natural snow, all the resorts offer enough room to build snowmen, have a snowball fight and generally play outside. No matter what time of year, most resorts have gorgeous views of the mountains.
In addition to renting homes from VRBO or Airbnb, here are four other options where we have first hand knowledge. Of course there are lots of other places to stay at Beech Mountain, and you can find a complete list here.
Oh and Beech Mountain has lots of pet friendly options too, don’t board Fido, bring him along!
Klonteska Condos

On my last visit we stayed at Klonteska condos. This was a modern condo with a gorgeous view of the mountains, located directly across the street from Beech Mountain’s free sledding hill, prime location for playing in the snow.
The Pinnacle Inn Resort

The Pinnacle Inn Resort was extensively remodeled in 2017. Condos are now ranked by a system of 5 stars, 4 stars, 3 stars or standard rooms. We like Pinnacle because it has a heated indoor pool and hot tub, perfect for cold winter nights and sore muscles from skiing. A washer and dryer inside the unit is perfect, even if all you do is dry wet clothes.
White Wolf Lodge
3363 Beech Mountain Pkwy | Banner Elk, NC 28604 | 828-387-4200
The White Wolf Lodge has a limited number of chalets (2) with lofts and is right in the heart of town, within walking distance of the free sledding hill. New for the winter of 2017-18, White Wolf Lodge offers two bunk rooms for group lodging. King Wolf Bunk Room sleeps up to 26, and Howling Wolf Room sleeps up to 45.”
