Ponce City Market has a cool history too. It was originally constructed by Sears, Roebuck & Co. in 1926. Each flat mimics the industrial modern aesthetic of the building. Lofty spaces include original features such as brick walls, tall ceilings and expansive steel-frame windows overlooking the Atlanta skyline. Freshly sealed-and-stained concrete floors show the patina of age, and opulent furnishings offer comfort in each home away from home.
Unique architectural details serve as central design pieces in each loft — The Wheel Loft, for example, is named for an early 1920’s 60-inch tractor wheel mold that’s showcased in the entryway of the two-bedroom apartment’s living area, and The O Loft’s name comes from an antique six-foot letter hanging on the wall.
Adjacent to Ponce City Market, the Atlanta Beltline can be accessed via a private entryway alongside the building. The shops, restaurants, bars and green spaces at the Market, are available in the building. In addition, you are just a short walk, bike, or bird ride from Old Fourth Ward and Inman Park.
