Sometimes you want a secluded cabin in the mountains to take in the fresh air, escape from reality, or inspire a little romance. Other times, you want to be in the middle of the magic of Blue Ridge, making it easy to access all the opportunities she affords.

When being in the heart of it all is your mission, these are the accommodations to consider — each one is located in downtown Blue Ridge.

Main & Main

Main & Main is a luxurious rental that has everything you could ever need. From the sprawling covered patio with fireplace to the soaker tube situated perfectly under a glorious chandelier — every detail is impeccable in this 3 bedroom/ 3 bathroom escape.

Truly, this is the finest accommodation offering you will find in the area…the details are unmatched. From the fine art to the rustic, but opulent furnishings…you will want for nothing.

This property is managed by Southern Comfort. They also offer an additional downtown cabin – Blue Ridge Cottage – and several Downtown Suites.

Mountain Top Cabin Rentals, Downtown Lodge

On my latest trip, I had the pleasure of staying Downtown, right above the Southern Charm restaurant. The four suites offered by Mountain Top are each private and perfect by themselves…or you can rent out the entire floor! This is the ideal spot for multi-gen or multi-family travel.

Pictured above is my room, one of the two more affordable suites just above the $100 mark (per night). For a few more dollars you can have a room that also includes a fireplace, more living area, and a larger bathroom. And for a base price of $149 per night you can rent the Penthouse.

I ADORE this space. It includes a full (gorgeous) kitchen, a living area with fireplace, a huge master bedroom, 2 bathrooms, laundry, and a delightful covered porch that faces the train. You aren’t going to find a better deal for the money…but the decor and layout here mean you aren’t sacrificing anything!

Mountain Top also offers Bungalow 46, a full house that looks and feels brand new. It sleeps 4, in two bedrooms – with a gaming space and wonderful front porch.

Blue Ridge Inn Bed & Breakfast

Blue Ridge Inn is a quintessentially Southern home built in the 1890s. Take your pick from eight rooms, with four offering additional “suite” access that you can use for relaxing, spreading out, or accommodating an extra guest.

Each morning begins with a breakfast spread of homemade muffins, hashbrown casserole, biscuits and gravy, quiche, eggs, and so much more. And in the evenings, their scratch-made cookies will spoil you! Be sure to ask about their special packages.

Bella Euphoria Cottage

Two streets from Downtown, Bella Euphoria is not exactly off Main Street, but worth a mention.  It carries a modern farmhouse vibe, with a lovely back deck. There is also a gas stove, fireplace and original hardwood floors.

Pets are welcome if you pay the pet fee and keep them off the furniture.

Hampton Inn

The Hampton Inn is located in the heart of downtown Blue Ridge just steps away from all of the restaurants, retail shopping and the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway Depot.

This new hotel has 109 guest rooms/suites (some with balconies overlooking downtown), ample meeting/function space for corporate and social events, on-site parking, and a “roof-top” bar + restaurant with breathtaking views of downtown and the surrounding mountains.
